1 Stelle eines/einer Universitätsassistenten/in mit Doktorat (PostDoc),
40 Stunden/Woche,
15. September 2021 - 30.September 2022.
Aufnahmebedingungen: zum Zeitpunkt des Dienstantrittes abgeschlossenes Doktoratsstudium
der Mathematik oder der Technischen Mathematik.
Gewünschte Qualifikationen:
* Wissenschaftliches Interesse in den Gebieten der
Zufallsprozesse (random walks), Graphentheorie,
geometrischen Gruppentheorie und nichtkommutativen Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie.
* Bereitschaft zur Mitarbeit in diesbezüglichen Forschungsprojekten.
* Bereitschaft und Fähigkeit zur Mitwirkung an den Lehraufgaben des Instituts.
* Lehrerfahrung, insbesondere im Bereich von Ingenieursstudienrichtungen.
* Sehr gute Kenntnisse der deutschen und englischen Sprache.
Aufgaben:
* Mitarbeit im Lehr- und Prüfungsbetrieb des Instituts (Schwerpunkt Servicelehre für Ingenieursstudienrichtungen in deutscher Sprache).
* Mitwirkung an den Forschungsarbeiten der Arbeitsgruppe Strukturtheorie und Stochastik.
* Mitwirkung bei den administrativen Aufgaben des Institutes.
Einstufung: B 1 nach Kollektivvertrag für die Arbeitnehmerinnen/Arbeitnehmer
der Universitäten; das monatliche Mindestentgelt für diese Verwendung beträgt
derzeit € 3.945,90 brutto (14 x jährlich).

Assistant Position (PostDoc), workload 40 hours/week, September 15, 2021 - September 30, 2022.
Requirements: PhD in Mathematics or
Technical Mathematics, awarded before the beginning of the engagement.
Desired qualifictations:
* Scientific interest in the fields of Stochastic Processes
(random walks), Graph Theory, Geometric Group Theory and Noncommutative Probability, possibly
combining those topics.
* Readiness to collaborate in research projects in these areas.
* Readiness and capability to contribute to the teaching duties of
the institute.
* Teaching experience, in particular concerning Mathematics in the engineering studies.
* Very good knowledge of German and English.
Duties:
* Collaboration in the teaching and examination activities of the institute, in particular concerning Mathematics in the engineering studies.
All
applications should contain a statement on the issue of immediately teaching in German.
* Collaboration in the research work of the the researchvgroups.
* Collaboriation in the administrative duties of the institute.
Salary: B1 according to the collective agreement for Austrian university employees;
the monthly gross salary for this type of position is currently
